Mount Hutt is 30mins from the town of Methven (located around 90 minutes from Christchurch) on New Zealand’s South Island .This small and friendly town with a range of accommodation, restaurants and bars is the place to base yourself in for the spectacular Mt Hutt (which has no accommodation). Lots of reliable powder, long runs and heaps of off-piste action is a big drawcard at Mt Hutt, with the added attraction of less crowds. Mt Hutt is a favourite snow destination of many South Island kiwis, for many good reasons.
