Effective date 12 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how [MULTISEEK] ABN [14 977 556 780] T/as: Powderseek (Powderseek, we, us or our), collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through powderseek.com.au and related services. Powderseek is based in New South Wales, Australia.
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and, where applicable, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and other applicable privacy, spam and telecommunications laws.
Powderseek is a travel information, marketing, referral and booking-facilitation platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, independent travel suppliers, booking platforms and merchants process bookings and payments under their own privacy policies.
The English version of this policy prevails to the extent permitted by law. Translations are provided for convenience only.
1 Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal information handled by Powderseek through our website, contact forms, accounts, newsletters, competitions, surveys, telephone and email communications, social media interactions and related services that we control.
It does not govern the independent privacy practices of travel suppliers, merchants, booking platforms, advertisers or other third parties. Their privacy policies apply when you visit their websites, use their booking tools or provide information directly to them.
2 Personal information we may collect
The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us and may include:
- identity and contact details, such as your name, age or age range, email address, telephone number and postal address;
- account information, login details and communication preferences;
- travel enquiry details, such as destinations, dates, traveller numbers, interests and requested services;
- business information supplied by advertisers, suppliers or other commercial contacts;
- communications, complaints, survey responses, reviews and other content you submit;
- technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser type, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location, cookie identifiers and interaction data; and
- marketing and affiliate information, such as whether a link was followed, a promotion was viewed or a referral resulted in an enquiry or booking.
Powderseek does not ordinarily collect or store payment-card details for Travel Products. Payments are generally processed by the identified third-party merchant or payment provider.
3 Sensitive information
We do not seek to collect sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for our functions and permitted by law. A travel or accessibility enquiry may sometimes contain health, disability, dietary, religious or other sensitive information. Where required, we will seek your consent before collecting that information. Please provide only information that is necessary for the enquiry.
4 How we collect personal information
We usually collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, create an account, subscribe, contact us, enter a promotion, submit content or communicate with us.
We may also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, or receive limited information from service providers, analytics providers, advertising partners, affiliate networks, social media services, travel suppliers and booking platforms where permitted by law.
If you provide information about another person, you must have authority to do so and, where appropriate, make that person aware of this policy.
5 Anonymity and consequences of not providing information
You may browse general Website content without identifying yourself, although cookies and technical information may still be collected. You may use a pseudonym when dealing with us where lawful and practicable.
You do not have to provide requested personal information. However, without it we may be unable to respond to an enquiry, create an account, send requested communications, investigate a complaint or connect you with a relevant supplier or merchant.
6 Why we collect hold use and disclose information
We may handle personal information to:
- operate, secure, maintain and improve the Website and our services;
- respond to enquiries, requests, complaints and support needs;
- facilitate a referral or connection requested by you;
- administer accounts, surveys, promotions and user-submitted content;
- measure Website use, advertising performance and affiliate referrals;
- personalise content and, where permitted, advertising;
- send service messages and marketing communications in accordance with your preferences and applicable law;
- prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
- meet legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting and recordkeeping obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We will not use or disclose personal information for an unrelated purpose unless you consent or the use or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
7 When we disclose personal information
Depending on the interaction, we may disclose personal information to:
- a travel supplier, merchant or booking platform when you ask us to facilitate an enquiry or referral;
- technology, hosting, cloud storage, security, communications, customer-support and website service providers;
- analytics, advertising and affiliate-network providers;
- professional advisers, insurers, auditors and contractors;
- a purchaser or successor in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards; and
- courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other persons where authorised or required by law.
We do not sell or rent personal information as a standalone product. This does not prevent disclosures necessary to provide requested referrals, operate affiliate tracking, use service providers or undertake a lawful business transfer.
8 Overseas disclosures
Because Powderseek promotes international travel and uses online service providers, personal information may be disclosed to recipients outside Australia. These may include travel suppliers in the country relevant to your enquiry and technology, analytics, communications, advertising, affiliate or cloud-service providers located in or operating from [INSERT COUNTRIES OR REGIONS AFTER REVIEWING YOUR PROVIDERS, for example the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area].
Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures as required by law. Overseas recipients may be subject to privacy laws that differ from Australian law.
9 Cookies analytics and affiliate tracking
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, maintain security, understand Website use, measure campaigns and attribute referrals or commissions.
These technologies may collect identifiers and technical or usage information. Some third parties may combine information collected through our Website with information from other sites or services, subject to their own privacy policies.
You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, our cookie settings tool. Blocking some cookies may affect Website functions. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent all server-side or affiliate attribution.
10 Google services
We may use Google services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads or Google AdSense. Google may process device, cookie and usage information to provide measurement, advertising and related services, depending on our configuration and your choices.
For further information, see Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising controls. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on may also be available for supported browsers.
11 Direct marketing
With your consent or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send information about Powderseek, travel content, promotions or relevant third-party offers. Marketing communications will identify the sender and provide a functional unsubscribe method. You can unsubscribe at any time or contact us using the details below. We may still send non-marketing messages needed to respond to an enquiry or administer an account or service.
12 Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No Internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, but this does not reduce our obligation to take reasonable protective steps.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes or protect legitimate interests. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it, unless retention is required by law.
If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies.
13 Access and correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact our Privacy Contact using the details below. We may need to verify your identity.
We will respond within a reasonable period and generally will not charge for making a request. If applicable law allows us to refuse access or correction, we will give written reasons and explain available complaint mechanisms where required.
14 Privacy complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, send a written complaint to our Privacy Contact. Include sufficient details for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a response within 30 days, although complex matters may take longer. We will keep you informed where reasonably practicable.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Information is available at www.oaic.gov.au. You may also have other complaint rights.
15 Children
The Website and our services are intended for people aged 18 years and over. We do not knowingly seek personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorisation, contact us so that we can assess and address the matter.
16 Third party websites and services
The Website contains links, widgets and integrations operated by third parties. We do not control their information-handling practices. Before providing information or making a booking, review the privacy policy and terms of the relevant supplier, merchant, booking platform or other third party.
17 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on the Website with its effective date. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention where reasonably practicable. Changes apply prospectively and do not authorise an incompatible use of information already collected without an appropriate legal basis.
