Niseko is the most well-known resort in Japan for international skiers and snowboarders, particularly Australians. The resort encompasses a massive area with 4 inter-linked resorts (Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu and Hanazono). Spectacular views and abundant runs suitable for learners, intermediate and advance levels can be found easily, including off-piste areas and a pipe. It has consistent high snowfall providing a steady supply of the lightest and driest powder snow. There is a great school operating in the Kids Snow Park area and English is widely spoken around Niseko in general. Night skiing is brilliant, with lifts running from 8:30am until 8:30pm at night. There is a broad range of accommodation to suit all budgets, and a great selection of restaurants and bars to satisfy all visitors. Niseko is the most popular resort in Japan for international visitors.
