Yongpyong Ski Resort
Yongpyong is one of the most popular purpose-built ski resorts in South Korea. With over 4000 acres of varied terrain and some of the steepest runs in South Korea, all levels will find something to enjoy on this large mountain. The resort is well planned and includes a terrain park, fifteen chair lifts a gondola and good on mountain food facilities. Accommodation with all the bells and whistles is moderately to expensively priced on the ski field, but less expensive options can be found in the town of Pyeongchang around 20 minutes away by resort bus or car. Yongpyong is usually crowded on weekends, but otherwise fine.
