Rusutsu is about 20min from Niseko and anyone looking for majestic runs with lots of the finest powder, catering well for beginners and intermediate riders, then Rusutsu is the place for you. But don’t worry, skiers or snowboarders looking for off-piste action will also be pleased, as Rusutsu has some of the best in the world. It is quite common for Niseko advanced riders to head over to ride the trees and other top free-range runs for a day or two, Rusutsu has something for everyone. With two major hotels and a theme park like feel for this large purpose-built resort, it is a favourite ski vacation destination for groups and families with children, for intervals of 5 days or more. The views from all over the mountain are spectacular, with the 360-degree views from the top of the eastern side mountain taking in the ocean around Muroran in the east, all the way round to impressive mountains around Mt Yotei.
