Val d'isere Ski Resort

NEAREST AIRPORT/S (by road): CHAMBERY AIRPORT 2hrs & GRENOBLE AIRPORT 3hrs

Val dl’sere is located high in the beautiful Tarentaise Valley. It is part of the combined ski area ‘Espace Killy’ with Tignes, encompassing a large, interconnected ski area. Val d’sere itself is world class providing terrain for all levels, including plenty of on-piste and off-piste runs, glacier skiing and great powder snow. Its central village has a close-knit appeal, is pedestrian friendly with great restaurants, bars, and shops. Accommodation connected to the snow can be expensive, though especially convenient for families not wanting to lug around the kids gear on shuttles and the like. However, more budget friendly accommodation can be found outside the central village. Ski schools, childcare and lots of extra activities can be found for the kids. Val d’sere has a legendary après ski reputation aided and abetted by its friendly locals. Last but not least, it was the hometown of Jean-Claude-Killy, the quintessential Olympic champion of the last century.
