Val Thorens Ski Resort

Val Thorens is the one of the highest ski resorts in Europe based at 2300m, and part of the Trois Vallees ski region (which includes the premium resorts: Meribel and Courchevel), providing the biggest interconnected ski area in Europe. Val Thorens itself is a purpose-built resort and ideal for groups, families, and couples alike. Families will particularly like the child centred activities and care, plus accommodation in the village is mostly ski-in/ski-out (a big bonus with kids). There are plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops with après fun abounding. As the bulk of the resort sits above the 2000m mark, the snow is of the highest quality and long seasons consistent. The terrain is massive and varied offering something for all levels from glacier skiing, lots of powder filled off-piste areas, and plenty of beginner to intermediate friendly runs.
